How many “I wishes” do you have? This is my list…
I wish I could read Italian and French.
I wish I could speak like a really classy woman
I wish I could be a MORE proficient writer!
I wish I could sew and design my own brand of clothes.
I wish I could do my own hairstyles
I wish I had a toned lean killer body
I wish I had a clean, massive, expensive wardrobe
Does any of this sound familiar to you? Everybody wants some sort of words of wisdom to keep them going in life. If you can stay inspired and focus on living and achieving your goals, then whatever goals you have, they can become bigger over time, as you set out to persist and achieve more. We all have dreams, and I have been a big dreamer growing up. I have been the “reach for the stars” kind of girl. Dreams and imagination play a big part from a young age. I dreamt for the “Mary Poppins” and “Disney Princess” life when I was little, and it is probably still in me because what you fantasise as a child can still play out as you grow older! But I do have different dreams as an adult. What are your dreams?
I love this quote:
“You have to dream before your dreams can come true.” — A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
“Allow yourself to dream, And when you do dream big” – Catherine Pulsifer
How BIG are your dreams? You’ve probably heard that saying, if your dreams don’t scare you they’re probably not big enough!!! Well, it can be true! A dream can be one thing or several things put together! So, What can you do to achieve your dreams?
Interestingly, Oprah has some videos on her Life Class’s website that will probably help you with motivation, life and fitness!
For example, for my Sixth wish I mentioned, I would want to achieve it by starting something such as, How to tone your arms.
“The only thing worse than starting something and failing… is not starting something.” — Seth Godin
So, START doing something!!!!!!
Clarify
What to do if you can’t find your passion – Here is a video on Oprah’s website that I thought may help you find what your passion may be, if you are not creative with what you want to do with your life. What is it that makes your heart well up?
Read…
Read, read, read!! Is what I learnt from primary school, and something that I think might help you is The Power of Now book. Inspirational, and spiritual, it gives you advice on living in the moment, and experiencing personal growth. It has been sold over 2 million copies worldwide, so that goes to show what kind of popularity the book has. It has a fresh message, and is a guide to transform your thinking.
Living your dreams is a big step, and if you’re the kind that dreams of doing something else while you work, then it’s time for you to do something about it!! For example, if you’re working a 9-5 office job, and you want to start your OWN business, then check out this book, Taking the Next Step to Living Your Dreams: Practical Steps to Begin Your Own Business Venture by Melissa Palmer. The author led and instituted the Women Owned Business networking group and her background is Property Management. She teaches goal setting and How to write your own business plan. So, if you desire freedom and time, then this may be the book for you!!!
Write…
Get out your notebook, and start writing your dreams and plans for 2016. Buy something pretty such as a pink notebook or buy something from Typo. Go here for a “Daily greatness journal” which is great as it has spaces for dream journalling and has a section for a goal and appointment planner. It can be so nice having some pretty stationery for the desk. All my notebooks are either pink, have a picture of Paris or New York. Having an image of where you want to be can also help you want to achieve things MORE!!! I’m an office kind of girl, so I like to keep organised, and the receptionist in me likes things tidy and structured. Structure is key, and I think it plays a major part in everything you do. Be consistent. I also believe that consistency is key to everything in life, so be consistent when reading, writing, exercising, whatever you do!! Consistency will help you achieve greater things.

Exquisite Emmalisa
Are there any dreams that you would like to share?
Very inspirational Emmalisa. I always have these great ideas, but I guess, unless you put them down in black and white, somehow life gets in the way and you forget your dreams 💗
